Accommodations

A block of rooms at the "Ramada Inn on Falmouth Square", 40 North Main Road, Falmouth, MA, have been reserved. The rooms will be available from May 7th through May 11th for those who will participate in the AOMIP workshop and will attend also the data assimilation lectures. An additional ten rooms are reserved for those who will attend only the data assimilation course. The WHOI rate is $69 per night and each participant should call the hotel for his/her own reservation. The hotel phone number is 508-457-0606, or toll free 1-888-227-3398. The reservation code is "WHOI"; reservations must be made by April 6, 2003.

Those who will attend the AMS meeting in Hyannis (May 12-16, 2003) can opt to stay at the Sheraton Hyannis Resort during the AOMIP meeting. A block of rooms is reserved under the American Meteorological Society. Reservations must be made prior to April 10 and must be accompanied by a one-night deposit ($94 per night). This special rate will also be available the weekends before and after the conference. The phone number for Sheraton reservations is 800-598-4459, or 508-775-7775. Please note that it takes about 40-45 minutes to drive to/from Woods Hole/Hyannis.


Meeting Facilities

Both the AOMIP and the Data Assimilation workshops will be held in the Smith Laboratory Conference Room (first floor) in the Woods Hole Village. Refer to 'Building number 3' on this map, or 'Smith Laboratory' on an alternate map.


Local Transport

Bus service from Boston Logan Airport to Falmouth is provided by Bonanza.

A mini van (or bus) will be available to transport people from the Ramada Inn to the Smith Laboratory in the morning and back in the evening during both the AOMIP and Data Assimilation workshops.
