The purpose of this project is to study the interaction between the circulation of the waters of the Southern Ocean and the floating ice shelves that flow from the ice sheet of the Antarctic continent. The methodological approach taken includes field programs to collect observational data, coupled ice-ocean numerical modeling, and physical laboratory modeling studies.
